The Church Marcus Pointe Baptist Church is located in beautiful Pensacola, Florida. It is a growing church with a huge heart for children and families.
Marcus Pointe is led by Senior Pastor Gordon Godfrey, Jr. Pastor Godfrey has led the church for almost 25 years. Under his leadership, the church has grown from 63 people in 1991 to an average of over 1,500 today. Every week people come to know Christ, are baptized and added to the church. Pastor Godfrey has also led the church in a re-brand and multiple building projects.
The church has numerous ministries including a Christian School, Daycare and Preschool.
The Opportunity Marcus Pointe is currently looking for a full-time Children’s Pastor. The primary purpose of the Children’s Pastor is to provide leadership, vision and direction in all ministries from birth though 5th grade. The church has over 200 children every week. The Children’s Pastor is encouraged to dream big and create an out-of-the-box experience for kids and families. This includes ministry during multiple Sunday morning services, Wednesday nights and small groups throughout the week. The church utilizes four large-scale events throughout the year to share the Gospel and attract new people to the church. One of these events is a large Easter outreach in the community. The Children’s Pastor will give direction to this and other outreach events throughout the year.
In the next 12 months, Marcus Pointe will break ground on a new 15,000 square foot children’s ministry facility. This new facility will house the 1st-5th grade ministries of the church and will include a large worship theater, classrooms and more. It is designed to be a state-of-the-art digital facility that is sure to attract new kids and families to the church. The successful candidate will have a brand new space to build and work with!
The new Children’s Pastor will work alongside a part-time Children’s Ministry Director.
The Requirements While formal education is not required, the successful candidate should have a minimum of 3+ years leading a children’s ministry.
