Be Good With Who You Aren’t

If you're going to lead and love a children's ministry in the year 2020, 2,1 and 22 or until God changes your gifts or your callings or until you go home to meet him, you're going to have to be really good with who you are. And you know what? There are things about me that I wish I could do that I can't do. I'm not musical. I wish I was musical. I wish I could sing. I wish I could play guitar. I wish I could stand at a keyboard and lead worship, but that's not me. And I finally had to come to grips with that, right? There are things about you that are different than the people that you work with. There are things that you would wish that you can do, but you can't. And you need to be okay with that. The quicker you can be okay with that, embrace that, and celebrate that, the quicker you're going to be to lead into the future. The beautiful thing is that although we're all shaped different, none of us are perfect. None of us have arrived. It's one of the amazing things about God. He takes ordinary people and he does extraordinary things through them. I mean, the Bible is just a book of ordinary people; ordinary people like you and me, that he used to do extraordinary things, and it doesn't take great abilities. What it takes is your availability to God, right? And with that availability, God can make a huge impact in your life.
