Extraordinary Leaders Never Stop Growing

Happy leaders are growing leaders.

Here's what I want for you desperately. I want you to never be content with where you are right now. I want you to grow, and I want you to never stop having this intrinsic desire to get better. Leaders never stop growing. If you ever get to the point where you stop growing, let me tell you right now, you're going to look around and you're going to find there's not many people around you, following you anymore.

Effective leaders grow, and I want you to grow personally. I want you to grow professionally. I want you to grow spiritually. I want you to grow academically. You are setting yourself up for success if you will commit and if you have a growth mindset. There's a big difference between average leaders and extraordinary leaders. The world is full of average leaders. Churches are full of average leaders. Families are full of average leaders. You know what we need? We need some extraordinary leaders. You might think, "Ryan, I'm not an extraordinary leader. I'm just a leader over at this church. I'm just a mom. I'm just trying to survive Tuesday."

Here's the thing: God has given you a sphere of influence. He has put people in your life that you can lead, and being a great leader doesn't mean big. It doesn't mean, "I've got a big following, and I've got a big church. I've got a big tenure of experience." It means, "I am growing, and I am better today than I used to be." That's what makes an extraordinary leader.

It's not about the size of your church. It's not about your years of experience. It's not about your academic background. It's not about your IQ. An extraordinary leader is a growing leader. I'm better than I was yesterday. I'm better than I was last week. I'm better than I was last month. I'm not content with where I am.

Thank you for listening to me right now. Thank you for being a part of this community. What I desperately want for you, is I want you to grow. I want you to grow, and I want you to never stop growing.

Your #1 fan,

Ryan
