Get Out of Your Comfort Zone & Be Available

God normally shows up when we get out of our comfort zone. When we do things that we might not normally do, when we spend money we might not normally spend, when we stretch ourself to go somewhere we might not normally go, that's when God has a tendency to show up.

So thank you for being available. I firmly believe that God is going to use this year to do incredible things in your life personally, and He's going to use this year to do incredible things in your ministry. Since you have become available, I don't know if there is a greater gift that you can give the Lord.

My wife and I were talking yesterday about something her grandfather told her once, and he actually wrote it in a birthday card on her 13th birthday. We were looking at this card last night and we both began to cry as we were reading it. He was encouraging her as a 13-year-old. He said, "you have so many abilities. Your abilities are God's gift to you." Then he said, "Your availability is your gift to God." "Your ability," he said was, "God's gift to you. Your availability is your gift to God."

God has given you so many abilities, friends. And let me tell you something, you are giving back to Him in being available, and by saying this year, "God, would you use me? Would you teach me? Would you open up my eyes to new realities? Would you open up my ears to what you're going to have to say? Would you lead me to the right people? Would you give me these God ideas, these visions, and these dreams that are so much bigger than anything I could ever dream, think, or imagine myself?"

So, thank you for putting yourself in the spot, in the position of being available. I believe God is going to greatly bless you because of that decision. When you get discouraged a month from now or six months from now, you just remember, "God, I'm available." You keep your palms open for the Lord. Say, "God, I'm yours. Would you fill me? Would you use me? Would you give me your peace? Would you give me your power?" Stay humble along the way, and seek the Lord. I guarantee you, He will say yes. Your abilities are God's gift to you. Your availability is your gift to God.
